HP Announces Envy x2, Spectre XT TouchSmart, and Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4
Hewlett Packard has announced a new set of Windows 8 computers. The HP Envy x2 has a detachable screen, which lets it easily turn into a tablet or PC. The dock has a full sized keyboard and touchpad. The screen is joined to the keyboard dock with 2 separate hinges instead of one. HP’s tablet has an 11.6-inch HD touch screen. The Envy x2 has an aluminum casing and weighs 3.1 pounds. The Envy x2 will be available with Intel’s third generation processors and a 64GB SSD. The Envy x2 has two separate batteries, one in the screen and one in the keyboard. The batteries have 8 hours of battery life, has a front-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel camera on the back of the tablet.
The HP Spectre XT TouchSmart Ultrabook is a standard PC attached to the keyboard. The HP Spectre XT TouchSmart Ultrabook has 15.6-inch a HD Radiance (1920 x 1080 resolution) display is a touch screen and is optimized for Windows 8. The 4.8 pound laptop is 17.9mm thick and has HDMI, Ethernet, USB 3.0, and Thunderbolt ports. The laptop has a NFC (Near Field Communications) feature built in so that when you tap on the device on to another device, you can share files or photos. The Spectre XT costs $1,399.99.
