Amazon Will Charge $15 To Opt Out Of Ads From Kindle Fire HD

Amazon Kindle Fire

Yesterday we wrote about how there will be no way to opt out of ads for “special offers” on the Kindle Fire HD.  However Amazon.com just updated their terms about how you will be able to opt out of the ads.  The price for doing so will be $15 for the life of the device.

“We know from our Kindle reader line that customers love our special offers and very few people choose to opt out. We’re happy to offer customers the choice,” stated an Amazon spokesperson.

The $15 will block ads from appearing on the lock screen and from the bottom of the screen.
