A Mannheim state court in Germany has thrown out an infringement claim by Apple regarding touch-screen devices against Samsung and Motorola.  It was about a month ago that a court in California ruled that Samsung must pay Apple $1 billion.  Apple is able to appeal the decision within 30 days.  “We welcome today’s ruling, which affirms our position that our products do not infringe Apple’s intellectual property,” said Samsung in a statement to Bloomberg. “We will continue to further develop and introduce products that enhance the lives of German consumers.”
