Samsung Fixes Galaxy S III Reset Issue

Samsung Electronics Logo
Yesterday I wrote about how the Samsung Galaxy S III was vulnerable to getting hacked.  A couple of Samsung devices was vulnerable to getting hit with a hard-rest if a user clicked on a link in a browser.  A fix is currently in place.  Samsung did not specify the particular software version.  Samsung is encouraging affected users to update their phones to the latest software that is available over the air.

Here is a statement from Samsung: “We would like to assure our customers that the recent security issue concerning the GALAXY S III has already been resolved through a software update. We recommend all GALAXY S III customers to download the latest software update, which can be done quickly and easily via the Over-The-Air (OTA) service.”
