Facebook has started deleting spam bot users from their social network so you may notice that your Facebook “fans” have dropped on your page. This is part of Facebook’s plan to restoring the integrity of the social network by increasing the automated efforts to remove likes on brand pages from users that violate their terms of services. This may include gaining fans through malware and compromised accounts. Accounts like Zynga’s Texas Hold Em’ Poker lost around 96,000 fans in one day. Musician accounts like Eminem (15,000), Rihanna (28,000), and Shakira (26,000) lost a large number of users also. Facebook said that around less than 1% of likes on any given page should be affected.
