Apple Stops Calling Apple Maps “Most Powerful Mapping Service Ever”

Apple Maps Icon

Apple has stopped using the tag-line that Apple Maps is “the most beautiful, most powerful mapping service ever.”  Yesterday we also pointed out that the Apple Maps application icon is flawed.  Recently Apple CEO Tim Cook apologized about the flaws that Apple Maps has.

Apple originally described Apple Maps as being:

Designed by Apple from the ground up, Maps gives you turn-by-turn spoken directions, interactive 3D views, and the stunning Flyover feature. All of which may just make this app the most beautiful, powerful mapping service ever.

Now Apple.com describes Apple Maps as:

Designed by Apple from the ground up, Maps gives you turn-by-turn spoken directions, interactive 3D views, and the stunning Flyover feature. All in a beautiful vector-based interface that scales and zooms with ease.

Apple is now recommending people to download other map apps or use Google Maps through Safari.
