Google Lets You Search Inside Attachments Now

Google Operating System (image credit above), an unofficial news and tips website about Google, has revealed that it is now possible to search inside Gmail Attachments.  You can certain find an attachment if you know the filename or keywords from the message, but if someone sent you a text file or an HTML file, you may not know that Gmail indexed its content.  Now Gmail has added support for searching within attached .PDF files, .DOC Word files, and .PPT PowerPoint files.  To search for content within those files “search for has:attachment and add some keywords to your query. To restrict your search to PDF files, search for has:attachment filename:pdf.”
