REPORT: Low Adoption Numbers For Windows 8 Raising Concern At Microsoft

If Microsoft wanted Windows 8 to just blast off right out the gate, these numbers should be a bit alarming.  They are seeing low adoption rates for Windows 8.  According to research and analytics company Net Applications, they are finding that around 0.33% of all Windows-based computers were running on Windows 8 in September.  Around 1.64% of Wind0ws-based computers were running on Windows 7 the month before it was released in 2009.  Granted people were frustrated with Windows Vista at that time so they wanted to upgrade right away, but the same level of excited with Windows 8 does not seem to be there.  [ComputerWorld]
