Sprint To Expand 4G LTE To 22 New Markets

Sprint has announced that they are expanding their 4G LTE network in the next few months starting with San Francisco and 21 other new markets.  Sprint currently has LTE services in 24 major metropolitan areas.  They will support 4G LTE services in over 100 more cities sometime in the near future including San Francisco, New York, and Boston.

Unfortunately, we do not have any dates for when the service will be launched.  We just know that it is in the “coming months.”  In terms of 4G competition, Sprint is lagging behind competition like AT&T and Verizon. Better late than never though, I always say.

Below is the list of cities that Sprint is rolling out their new services to:

  • San Francisco-San Mateo-Redwood City, CA
  • Cape Coral-Ft Myers, FL
  • Dyersburg-Union City-Martin, TN
  • Emporia, KS
  • Fort Wayne, IN
  • Greenwood, MS
  • Joplin, MO
  • Kokomo, IN
  • Lafayette/West Lafayette, IN
  • Lexington Park, MD
  • Marion, IN
  • Napa, CA
  • Naples-Marco Island, FL
  • Ottawa-Streator, IL
  • Punta Gorda, FL
  • Santa Rosa-Petaluma, CA
  • Sarasota-Bradenton, FL
  • Sebring, FL
  • South Bend-Mishawaka, IN
  • Terre Haute, IN
  • Vallejo-Fairfield, CA
  • Warsaw, IN
