In this SNL clip, there is a mock TV show being featured call Tech Talk. The show was chaired by Christina Applegate and it features fake writers from CNET, Wired, and Gizmodo that initially complain about Maps, purple hues in photos of the sun, and how the device is light. As these writers complain about the issues, three Chinese factory workers that made the iPhone are lined up to talk about their issues from their viewpoint.

The “writer” from CNET complained about having to use Google Maps in the browser. The Wired writer complained about the hue of the photos. And the Wired writer complained about how holding the phones felt like he was holding a device that was three pieces of paper stapled together.

“You wanted Starbucks, but it took you to Dunkin’ Donuts?” says one worker. “That must be so hard for you!”

After Applegate pointed out that apps were slow. I have an “Angry Bird too” said one of the Chinese workers. That angry bird is a chicken trying to steal his lunch in the factory.

Though she didn’t play a huge part in this scene, Christina Applegate was hilarious in all of her skits. The iPhone 5 complaints spoof was very good though, and it portrays some tech sites perfectly. I wasn’t able to catch the show last night since I was working late at DISH. I set my Hopper a while back to automatically record the entire season to the two terabyte DVR and then watched it this morning. I am just happy that I can watch it when I want without having to worry about how much space I’ve got. I can’t wait to see Bruno Mars next week!
