Nokia Sold 2.9 Million Lumias, 3.4 Million Symbian Phones Last Quarter
Earlier this week, Nokia announced their third quarter 2012 results. Nokia sold 2.9 million Lumias worldwide, compared to 4 million in the previous quarter. Accenture is providing Nokia with Symbian-based software development and support services through 2016. Around 2,800 Nokia employees became Accenture employees about a year ago.
In terms of the financials, Nokia posted a loss of €576 million ($754 U.S. million). Nokia’s smartphone sales are also down 63% year-on-year and 38% quarter-on-quarter.
