Appy Couple Raises $1.2 Million In Seed Round

Appy Couple is a wedding application company that has raised $1.2 million in a seed round of funding led by John Frankel (ff Venture Capital).  Appy Couple was founded by Sharmeen Mitha-Sehgal.  Frankel will be joining the board of directors at Appy Couple as well.  The application lets brides create a unique application for their wedding with design templates and color themes.

Appy Couple LogoGuests can access the application from the App Store.  The application contains dates, photos, the story of how people met, etc.  Appy Couple graduated from the ER Accelerator this past April and 7,000 people were waiting for the beta product.  Sharmeen said this new round of funding will go towards building the product team on the creative and development side.

Ms. Mitha-Sehgal plans to add 3 more positions.  Developing for Android has been a challenge for the company because of fragmented screen sizes and resolution.
