Pheed Is Growing At A Rapid Pace

Pheed is a relatively new social network company that is growing at a rapid pace.  Some of the celebrities that have joined Pheed include Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale, David Guetta, Paris Hilton, Chris Brown, etc.  Pheed is self-funded and operates from a rented six-acre mansion on Mulholland Drive (Santa Monica, California).

Pheed LogoPheed has around 200 celebrities and the company only launched a few days ago.  The website has hit around 350,000 unique visitors without even having an iPhone app ready.  Pheed is allowing influencers to charge for high quality content like text, photo, audio, video, and live broadcasts.

Pheeders have the option to share for free or a premium price through a monthly subscription fee to their channel or by setting up a pay-per-view live broadcast event.  Users can charge between $1.99 to $34.99 per view or $1.99 to $34.99 per month.  Users can pick their own pricing and they own all of the content.  Pheed takes half of the revenue earned from the premium content.  Pheed CEO and co-founder O.D. Kobo is known for running multiple successful online ventures.

Mr. Kobo believes that if there is an option for celebrities and influencers to monetize their content, they will have more of an incentive to create quality content.  This includes concerts from a celebrity’s living room or studio and comedy stand-up from their kitchen.  In Miley Cyrus’ feed, she had an audio recording that hit 10,000 visitors in half a second.
