Raytheon Acquires Cyber-Security Company Teligy
Raytheon Company has acquired cyber-security development company Teligy. This acquisition will help extend Raytheon’s cyber-security offerings in wireless communications, vulnerability analysis, custom kernel software/device driver development, and reverse engineering. This transaction will not impact Raytheon’s total sales or EPS for Q4 2012 or the fiscal year 2013.
Teligy is skillful at transitioning prototype and proof of concept cyber products into deployable solutions. Teligy allows Raytheon to cover the entire communication stack for wired and RF technologies across relevant platforms. This is Raytheon’s 11th cyber-related acquisition since 2007.
“The Teligy acquisition adds critical wireless capabilities that address the needs of our cybersecurity customers in the intelligence, DoD and federal communities,” stated Raytheon’s president of Intelligence and Information Systems business Lynn Dugle. “Teligy is comprised of highly skilled and proven performers with strong customer focus, and we are excited to welcome them as members of our team.”
