Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin Rocket Venture Company Successfully Launches Pad System
Blue Origin is the rocket venture company created by Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos. Blue Origin has successfully launched a NASA-backed launch pad system for the crew capsule on October 19th.
On October 19th, Blue Origin launched the pad system from their West Texas spaceport as part of a $22 million agreement with Blue Origin. The agreement was created to develop a new generation of spaceships that would be capable of re-supplying the International Space Station.
Jeff Bezos has been working on Blue Origin for a decade and struggled to develop a launch system that is suitable for researchers and astronauts. Bezos originally created Blue Origin in 2000. Blue Origin is headquartered in Kent, Washington.
