Ann Arbor Based Supply Chain Software Company LLamasoft Raises $6 Million
LLamasoft is a supply chain software design company that has raised $6 million in Series A funding. This is about the same time that the company signed Nike as a strategic investment partner. LLamasoft is expanding their lease to an additional floor at the First National Bank Building in downtown Ann Arbor.
LLamasoft grew super fast in the last 24 months. They went from 25 to 150 employees in that time and has become a leader in supply chain design. Some of their clients include Ford, Kellogg, and Target.
“Because we have this list of customers that includes so many big companies, there are more and more solutions that they’re asking for and more technological advancements that they want,” stated LLamasoft EVP Toby Brzoznowski as quoted by AnnArbor.com. “So we are investing heavily in our research and development team to build new products that expand what supply chain analytics and design can do.”
LLamasoft raised the $6 million from MK Capital, Augment Ventures, and First Step Fund. First Step Fund is a partnership between Invest Detroit, TechTown, Automation Alley, and Ann Arbor SPARK.
Nike also was a part of the investment and they have been a LLamasoft partner for the last 2 years. They are now working with the company to help them build their own supply chain design center.
