Atomico Invests $16 Million In Russian Travel Startup OneTwoTrip

Atomico has invested $16 million into Russian travel website OneTwoTrip according to Quintura.  Atomico was created by Niklas Zennström, the co-founder of Skype, Kazaa, and Joost.  “[OneTwoTrip founer] Peter and his colleagues from OneTwoTrip represent an outstanding product-focused team that have brilliantly executed to deliver an innovative travel service, superior user experience and great value to his customers,” stated Atomico partner.

OneTwoTrip launched last year and they have around a 35% market share of the Russian online air ticketing market.  OneTwoTrip sells around 100,000 tickets with a monthly turnover of $36 million.  OneTwoTrip previously raised $9 million from Phenomenon Ventures and had a rumored valuation of $70 million.

Some of the other investors in OnwTwoTrip includes venture capitalists Hovhannes Poghosyan and Dmitry Falkovich. OneTwoTrip’s founder Peter Kutis is also known for helping start
