How Apple Prepared Their Fifth Avenue Store For Hurricane Sandy

As the city of New York was preparing to get slammed by Hurricane Sandy, one of Apple’s concerns was the security and safety of their signature 5th Avenue retail store.  Apple had to barricade the main entrance of the store to prevent water from leaking in with sandbags that were around a foot-and-a-half tall.  Apple’s 5th Avenue retail store is made of strong glass all around.  Below is a photo of the doors being barricaded.
