Zynga Launches CityVille 2

Zynga has announced that they have launched CityVille 2, the sequel to the CityVille game.  This is the first game that Zynga has launched since they launched earlier this month that they would be shutting down TheVille and 13 other games, which ended up causing massive layoffs.  CityVille 2 was designed by Brian Reynolds, the guy that designed Frontierville.

CityVille 2 lets users created their own 3-D city like you would with Sim City.  Some of the interactive features in the game include a do-rameter that helps guide users through activities.  Players can compete against each other to see who is building a better city.

There is a leader board in the game and it shows players that have the best cities.  There is a timed version of the game so you can find out how you are doing in the week, month, and year.  There is in-game chatting and messaging.

CityVille 2 can be played on Facebook right now.  The company will soon be available in 15 different languages including English, Danish, Dutch, German, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and traditional Chinese.
