Verizon Is Shutting Down Their App Store

Verizon Wireless has announced that they are shutting down their own branded app store starting in January.  Verizon’s app store is known as Vcast Apps and they launched it as an alternative way for people to get their hands on Android and BlackBerry apps.  Vcast Apps should be fully shut-down by March 27, 2013.  At one point Verizon was working with Chomp, but Apple bought that company and shut it down.
