Office Mobile Apps Coming To Android and iOS In March 2013
Microsoft Corporation will be bringing Microsoft Office for the iPad, iPhone, and Android in early 2013. Even though Microsoft is being very quiet about the release dates for their mobile software, there are screenshots and information packets being leaked.
Office Mobile will be a free app that will only allow Android and iOS users to view Microsoft Office documents while on the go. Office Mobile will require you to have a Microsoft account though. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel viewing will be supported. To enable an edit function, you will be required to have an Office 365 subscription.
Users would be able to buy Office 365 subscriptions within the app. Companies will also be able to distribute codes to enable Office Mobile editing for their users.
Microsoft even sent out a press release through their Czech Republic subsidiary that reveals Office Mobile apps for Android and iOS will be made available from March 2013.
