Ford Acknowledges That MyFord Touch Needs Improvements

Consumer Reports really penalized the Ford Motor Company brand for flaws with the MyFordTouch communications system.  MyFordTouch is a replacement for traditional dials, buttons, and knobs that control functions like heating, AC, and radio.  MyFord Touch uses voice activation, a touch screen, and steering wheel-mounted controllers.  Below is a statement that Ford CEO Alan Mulally had to say about the problems MyFordTouch had in an interview with Auto News.

j2 Global Acquires Ziff Davis For $167 Million

j2 Global has acquired Ziff Davis for $167 million in cash.  Ziff Davis is a technology magazine publisher company that went into bankruptcy in 2008.  Ziff Davis now runs websites like Geek.com, PCMag.com, ExtremeTech, Toolbox.com, etc.  J2 acquired the company from Great Hill Partners in Boston.  ZD will add around $60 million to j2′s 2013 revenue.  j2′s 2012 revenue will now be exceeding $365 million.

WATCH: Mortal Kombat Characters Go “Gangnam Style”

We have seen the Oregon Duck, the Ohio University marching band, Vinny from Jersey Shore, Saturday Night Live, Britney Spears, a Bay Area wedding, an Italian flash mob, Cebu Filipino prisoners, the Golden State Warriors cheerleaders, MIT students, U.N Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, and the Indiana Pacers’ Roy Hibbert go “Gangnam Style.”  The Gangnam Style music video is one of the most watched videos on YouTube and that propelled the career of Korean artist Psy.  Ri0t is a YouTube channel created by gaming enthusiasts and they have put together this video of Mortal Kombat characters doing the Gangnam Style dance.  Check out the video below:

The Acer C7 Chromebook Has 3.5 Hours Of Battery and Retails For $199

Google and Acer have announced the Acer C7 Chromebook.  The Chromebook will be available tomorrow on Google Play, BestBuy.com, and Best Buy stores.  The retail price will be $199.  The Acer C7 is already available on Google Play, Amazon UK, PC World, and Currys.  The Acer C7 has an 11.6-inch display, 3.5 hours of battery life, a full-size keyboard, and a clickable trackpad.  The Acer C7 boots up in 18 seconds and is 1-inch thin.  The Acer C7 has 100GB of Google Drive Cloud Storage and a 320GB hard disk drive.  It also has an HD camera, 3x USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 VGA port, WiFi, and an Ethernet port.

McAfee Anti-Virus Founder John McAfee Wanted For Murder

John McAfee is the founder of the McAfee antivirus software company.  Now he is wanted for murder in Belize according to a Gizmodo guest writer named Jeff Wise.  Mr. McAfee is a suspect for the murder of an American named Gregory Faull.  Mr. Faull was shot in his home on Saturday night.  Mr. Faull previously filed a complaint against Mr. McAfee for firing off guns with “roguish behavior.”

Yahoo! Apologizes For Fantasy Football Downtime

Yesterday Yahoo! had a major issue with Yahoo! Fantasy Football.  The service did not work in the hour before a lot of the NFL games started.  Yahoo! Fantasy Football users were angry and complained on social media.  Yahoo! The Samsung Galaxy Camera is a 4G-connected camera that is arriving on November 16th with a price of $499.99.  AT&T customers will get a $100 discount off the purchase of a second Samsung Galaxy handset or another Samsung connected device.  The Samsung Galaxy Camera is powered by the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.  The Camera has a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD display, a 21x optical zoom, and 16-megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor.  The camera also has a quad-core 1.4GHz processor.
