New Skype App Lets You Easily Merge Windows Live Messenger and Skype

Skype has updated their iOS application and it allows you to easily merge your Skype accounts with your Microsoft account.  Microsoft phased out Windows Live Messenger earlier this month to focus more on Skype.  Microsoft acquired Skype for $8.5 billion.  Through the acquisition, Microsoft allowed Messenger, Hotmail, and users communicate through Skype.

Users can sign into Skype with their Microsoft account.  Their history and contacts would be immediately merged with their Skype account.  Individual messages can be edited by tapping and holding down a message.

The Skype iPhone app account also has support for Emojicons, including the animated ones.  Skype also fixed some of the bugs in the app.
