Apple and Starbucks Donating Proceeds From Gift Cards To AIDS Research

Apple and Starbucks will be honoring World AIDS day on December 1st by offering proceeds from gift cards to AIDS research on December 1st.  Starbucks and Apple will be offering the Starbucks iTunes (RED) eGift basket combo, which has two digital eGifts ($15 eGift to Starbucks and $15 eGift to iTunes) for $30.

For every gift that is sold, Apple and Starbucks will put 5% of the purchase price to the Global Fund to help push for an AIDS free generation by 2015.  You can buy the $30 eGift card here.

Apple is also donating a small percentage of its sales from the (PRODUCT)RED merchandise.  The products that are in the (PRODUCT)RED merchandise series includes the iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, and other accessories.
