Ingram Micro Acquires Promark Technology

Ingram Micro is a supply-chain IT company and logistics solutions company that has acquired Promark Technology.  Promark focuses on data storage, data management, and electronic imaging.  Promark is based in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.  Promark also works on federal and state contract vehicles including a General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.

Promark’s revenues are expected to hit around $100 million for the year ending December 31, 2012.  Promark will continue to operate independently as a subsidiary of Ingram Micro.  The acquisition is expected to close on November 30, 2012 and is subject to closing conditions.

Promark Technology CEO Dale Foster will continue to lead the company as the executive director and general manager.  He will report to Ingram Micro’s VP and general manager Scott Zahl.

“The acquisition of Promark is another step forward in our strategy to strengthen Ingram Micro’s position in higher value products and solutions, as well as extend our leadership and reach within the public sector,” stated Alain Monié, the president and CEO of Ingram Micro Inc.
