AT&T Has Sold 6.4 Million Smartphones So Far In Q4
AT&T has sold a sold number of smartphones in the courth quarter already. The iPhone 5 and Android devices are driving the sales. In terms of Android, some of the most popular devices include the LG Optimus G and HTC One X according to AT&T Mobile CEO Ralph de la Vega. In the first two months of the fourth quarter, AT&T sold 6.4 million smartphones.
When compared to the year before, AT&T sold 9.4 million for all 3 months in Q4 2011. In all of 2012, AT&T is expected to sell around 26 million smartphones. The company sold 6.1 million smartphones in Q3 2012.
De la Vega is “really excited” about the sales results for the Windows Phones that the company is selling including the Lumia 920 and the HTC 8X.
AT&T signed up around 5 million customers in under 4 months to their shared data plan called Mobile Share and one-fourth of them had opted for at least 10GB of data service.
