Gramble Raises $2.7 Million

Gramble is a social gaming network company that has raised $2.7 million in funding from Novamedia, the world’s third largest charity donor.  Gramble is preparing to launch in open beta on December 20th.  Novamedia became a foundation investor in Gramble this past May.  Novamedia operates five charities lotteries across Europe and has received $7 billion in donations.  Novamedia ambassadors include Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela, Mohamad Yunus, Rafael Nadal, and Sir Richard Branson.

The $2.7 million was Gramble’s fourth overall seed round.  They have received funding from two other high profile strategic investors.  Gramble users can donate a percentage of money generated by their activity to charities or other NGOs.  Whenever a player clicks an ad or stocks up on currency on the Gramble network, the money is sent to a charity.

“We’re impressed with Gramble’s progress, innovation, and growth since our initial investment,” stated Novamedia CEO Boudewijn Poelman. “Most importantly, we are excited to partner with this company that shares our vision offering fun ways to get people to give to charity. The launch will change the way people perceive gaming, and we are proud to be a part of it.”
