Phorce, The World’s First Smart Bag, Hits Kickstarter Goal In Under 2 Weeks
Phorce is the world’s first smart bag that has hit $120,000 on Kickstarter in 5 days. The company surpassed their $150,000 goal in under 2 weeks. Phorce is a bag that powers all of your devices and connects you to your bag through an app. This bag will remind you if you forgot it somewhere too.
Phorce founder Marijn Berk is an entrepreneur based in Amsterdam. Previously he started a company that created solar chargers to enable off-grid consumers in the developing world charge their mobile phones.
The Phorce bag is able to charge smartphones, tablets, iPods, cameras, speakers, headphones, or anything else that uses a USB connection. The bag has 3 USB connections, 2 high speed port, and 1 super high-speed port. The Phorce for Mac product can power a MacBook for up to 7 extra hours.
Phorce has an Android and iOS application that can connect a smartphone to the Phorce bag using Bluetooth. The app is able to detect the bag’s remaining power through an on-screen graphics display. Phorce can turn from a messenger bag to a backpack to a briefcase within seconds.
“Unfortunately bags haven’t changed much over time, so they’re a little outdated, especially for the entrepreneur, business owner, or seasoned traveler. It’s time to completely reimagine and reinvent the bag,” stated Marijn Berk. “We have designed the first smart bag in the world that meets the multiple needs of today’s on-the-go, always digitally connected person. A bag that can talk to your smartphone, that can easily transform to meet your needs, and that can power up all of your devices.”
