Cloud Sherpas Raises $40 Million, Acquires Cloudtrigger

Cloud brokerage service Cloud Sherpas has raised $40 million in funding.  The company has also made their eighth acquisition.  This round of funding was led by Greenspring Associates and the company has raised a total of $62.6 million thus far.  Columbia Capital and Delta-V Capital are existing investors that joined this round.  Australian institutional investor Queensland Investment Corporation participated in this round of funding also.

Cloud Sherpas acquired Cloudtrigger, which is a consulting company that focuses on Service Cloud customers.  Cloud Sherpas was formed after the company merged with a New York based cloud services company called GlobalOne earlier this year.  When the merger happened, Cloud Sherpas received a $20 million investment from Columbia.  Columbia put $15 million into GlobalOne last year.

“There was big interest in the funding,” stated Cloud Sherpas CEO David Northington in an interview with Forbes. “It’s a validation of our performance.”  Cloud Sherpas has over 3,000 customers and they are expected to hit over $100 million in 2013 revenues.
