Samsung Files An Import Ban From Ericsson
Ericsson is one of the largest telecommunications companies in Sweden that filed a lawsuit against Samsung in November. Ericsson requested a ban of U.S. imports on some products. Samsung is now suing Ericsson back by filing a complaint to the International Trading Commission.
Samsung accused Ericsson of breaching seven patents. This is why Samsung requested a U.S. sales and import ban on several of Ericsson’s products.
“We have sought to negotiate with Ericsson in good faith. However, Ericsson has proven unwilling to continue such negotiations by making unreasonable claims, which it is now trying to enforce in court,” stated Samsung. Samsung said that some of the Ericsson products that violate their patents include telecommunications networking equipment like base stations.
