Amazon.com Cuts The Price Off The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 By $50

The Amazon.com Kindle Fire HD was the leading product that was sold by Amazon.com through the holiday season.  The 8.9-inch tablet went for sale earlier last month.  Fortunately Amazon.com is offering the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 to students at $50 off all month long.  Amazon Student Members that have a Prime account are the only ones eligible for the deal.

Amazon.com is letting students that are not Prime members sign up today to take advantage of the deal.  To become an Amazon Student member, you can sign up using your .edu e-mail address.  This offer is valid for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 WiFi only model or the 4G version.

The $50 discount means that you can buy an 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD for as little as $249.  The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 has 4 different versions.  The WiFi-only model is 16GB ($249) and 32GB ($319) in size.  The 4G LTE version has 32GB ($449) and 64GB ($549) versions.
