Heyzap Raises $4.3 Million From Union Square and Qualcomm
Heyzap is a company that has built a social platform for mobile games that has raised $4.3 million in Series B funding. This round of funding was from Union Square Ventures and Qualcomm. Union Square is an existing investor in Heyzap.
Heyzap spun out of Y Combinator and started out as an Adobe Flash gaming company. The company started to focus on mobile gaming. The company built player leaderboards and achievements. Heyzap has around 9 million registered users.
Heyzap co-founder Jude Gomila said that the company will use the funding to hire more engineers and salespeople. Heyzap has raised a total of $8 million.
