Fujitsu Has Created A New File Transfer Method Between A Computer And Mobile Device

Fujitsu recently announced that they have created a new kind of technology that makes it simple to transfer files between a computer and mobile device without needing a cable or Bluetooth.  The file transfer method uses a mobile phone or tablet to capture a video of a file that is shown on a computer screen.

The mobile device uses intermediary image communications technology that was developed at Fujitsu Laboratories to communicate between the computer’s screen and a mobile device through the superimposing of invisible communications data into images that can be captured by a mobile phone camera.

The superimposition captures details like the IP address and other device-specific information that is invisible to the naked eye.  The technology is more than capable of identifying the target computer whenever a user captures a video of the screen through the mobile phone camera.  A communications path is created between the target machine and mobile phone.
