Temple Run 2 Gets Downloaded 20 Million Times In First Four Days

Temple Run 2 is a fun game where you are a character that jumps, slides, and runs from a monster while collecting coins at the same time.  Earlier this month we wrote about how the game became the top free app on the Apple App Store.  The game was downloaded over 20 million times in the first four days since it was released.

The first Temple Run game was downloaded a total of over 170 million times since it launched in August 2011.  “The response from fans has been overwhelming,” stated Imangi Studios’ co-founder Keith Shepherd. “We are thrilled players want more of the Temple Run universe, and we hope to grow and expand the game over the coming months.”

The Temple Run game is also in the top 3 top-grossing apps, which means that players are opening up their wallets for the in-app goods.  Temple Run 2 is currently available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.  An Android version is expected to arrive next week.
