The Intel Yolo Is Launching In Africa Through Safaricom
Intel is working with the telecommunications carrier Safaricom to launch a new smartphone called the Yolo. The Yolo is Intel’s first smartphone in Africa and is the first phone known for having the Lexington Atom chip.
The Yolo has a 3.5-inch screen, 1.2GHz processor, 320 x 240 display, and dual SIM support. It runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and supports HSPA+.
The name sounds similar to Intel’s first phone called the Lava Xolo X900. The Xolo was designed for India customers in mid-2012. The Yolo will be coming to Kenya at a price of 10,999 shillings ($125).
