YouTube To Launch Paid Subscriptions For Premium Channels

As Google continues to invest in original content for YouTube to compete against websites like Hulu and Netflix, the company will be rolling out paid subscriptions for premium channels sometime in the near future.

Some of the largest channels on YouTube make enough ad revenue to keep their viral video organizations running seamlessly.

The rates for the monthly cost are rumored to be at around $1-$5 per month.  The company will also work on ways to prevent the videos from being downloaded and shared.

It is unknown whether Google will remove advertising for the paid premium channels or not.
