ePrize Acquires Mobile Development Company Mozes
ePrize, the digital engagement marketing company founded by Detroit Venture Partners co-founder Josh Linkner, has acquired Mozes. This is ePrize’s second major acquisition in the last year. The terms of the acquisition are unknown, but they did reveal that Mozes’ employees and offices in Palo Alto and Nashville will remain open.
ePrize CEO Matt Wise said that the company was interested in Mozes because it was a leader in mobile and cross-platform engagement of live audiences attending sporting events, TV broadcasts, and live TV broadcasts. Mozes has created campaigns for Live Nation, Coca-Cola, Ford, and American Idol.
Wise said that the acquisition “fits into the broader picture of what ePrize is trying to do—engage consumers and connect with them between the online and offline world.” Wise said that Q4 2012 was “huge” for the ePrize clients including an upswing in marketing campaigns that incorporate text messaging.
In January 2012, ePrize acquired the Chicago-based mobile CRM company Cellit. This past August ePrize was acquired by private equity firm Catterton Partners. Linkner’s partner at Detroit Venture Partners, Dan Gilbert benefitted from the acquisition of ePrize.
