Ravello Systems Raises $26 Million
Ravello Systems is a company that lets you use the public cloud to develop and test applications. The company has raised $26 million in funding from Sequoia Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, and Bessemer Venture Partners.
The company can essentially package an app and launch them into public cloud services like Amazon Web Services. Ravello can provide your company with developers, dev ops, and IT resources to create full replicas of your multi-VM production applications for development and test in the cloud. You can automate your whole application environment for complete consistency as well.
All of the data is kept in a capsule-like environment that contains all of the requirements needed for an application to work in a cloud environment. Once the testing is completed, the capsule can be deployed on to any public cloud service.
