Shervin Pishevar Named As Chairman Of Blackjet

Blackjet is a startup that is considered an “Uber for private jets.”  This means that people can book a private jet for a lower price through web and mobile apps.  Blackjet recently announced that they have extended their service to San Francisco and Las Vegas.  The company has also hired Shervin Pishevar as their chairman.  Pishevar used to be a partner at Menlo Ventures and he created a new startup called Sherpa.

He is balancing his time between Sherpa and Blackjet now.  Pishevar has been involved with Blackjet since the company was being conceptualized by co-founder Garrett Camp.  Camp was the founding CEO of StumbleUpon before Blackjet.  Pishevar also supported and founded Uber.

Pishevar helped bring together some of the investors in Blackjet including Camp, Marc Benioff, First Round Capital, SV Angel, Ashton Kutcher, Naval Ravikant, Tim Ferriss, Matt Mulleneg, Roc Nation, Will Smith, etc.  To celebrate the expansion, the company threw a party at Union Square in San Francisco.
