HP Unveils An Android Tablet Called The Slate 7

Today Hewlett Packard has announced a new device called the Slate 7.  The Slate 7 is a 7-inch $169 tablet with a dual-core ARM A9 processor, 1024 x 600 FFS+ display, 16GB RAM, and 8GB memory.  The Slate 7 has a pair of cameras and is powered by Beats Audio.  It has an HP ePrint application.  The Slate 7 runs on Android 4.1.1.  There isn’t any GPS, NFC, or cellular radios.

“To address the growing interest in tablets among consumers and businesses alike, HP will offer a range of form factors, leveraging an array of operating systems,” stated HP mobility chief Alberto Torres.
