Henrik Fisker Steps Down From Fisker Automotive
Henrik Fisker is known for designing the exterior of the BMW Z8 and the Aston Martin DB9. Before that, he worked at Ford’s Advanced Design Studio and served on the Aston Martin board of directors.
Around 6 years ago, Fisker partnered with Quantum Technologies to create Fisker Automotive. Fisker Automotive’s first product was the Fisker Karma and it was showcased in January 2008. The Karma was not actually available for consumer purchase until late 2011.
Ever since last year, Fisker Automotive has been constantly changing their leadership and they faced a few recalls. Even Hurricane Sandy destroyed 300 of their vehicles as they wanted to be delivered to dealerships.
Now Henrik Fisher is stepping down from the company due to disagreements with executive management regarding business strategy. Aside from being the founder, Fisker is the executive chairman of the company.
