Funny Or Die To Launch The First Steve Jobs Movie, Starring Justin Long
FunnyOrDie.com, the comedy website founded by Gary Sanchez Productions, has created a movie about Steve Jobs called iSteve. The movie will be uploaded to the website on April 15th. The parody film will poke fun at biopic movies while focusing on Steve Jobs. The film stars Justin Long as the title role. The movie will run at between 60 and 75 minutes, which means that it is the longest video project for Funny Or Die. Gary Sanchez Productions is a production company that was founded by director Adam McKay and comedic actor Will Ferrell.
The movie was produced by Allison Hord, who is known for putting together many shorts for Funny Or Die. Justin Long has been associated with Apple in the past. He starred as “Mac” in Apple’s iconic “Get A Mac” ads. Other actors in the iSteve film will include James Urbaniak (Bill Gates), Michaela Watkins (Melinda Gates), and Jorge Garcia (Steve Wozniak).
iSteve will be released before the movie jOBS, which was supposed to hit theaters on April 19th. However Open Road Films had to postpone the release because they did not have time to put together a proper marketing campaign.
Another Steve Jobs movie is being worked on, which will be based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of the Apple co-founder. Aaron Sorkin, director of The Social Network, is working with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak on that film.
