Google+ Adds Full-Size Photo Uploads

Google has been consistently adding some great new features to Google+.  Today Google+ has added full-size image uploads from the desktop, whic can be applied to profile photos and new albums.  The announcement was made by Google senior software engineer on his Google+ profile.

Full-size uploads can be disabled by going to the settings panel and highlighting the tick-box under the Photos sub-header.  Full-size image uploads are counted towards the free 5GB that is offered by Google.  This feature can be extremely beneficial for amateur and professional photographers and can pose a significant threat to Yahoo! Flickr.

Late last month, Google+ added the ability to use animated GIFs as profile photos. The company also added photo filters to the Google+ mobile apps last month.
