Samsung Announces GALAXY Win

Samsung has announced a new Android smartphone called the GALAXY Win.  The GALAXY Win has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 4.7-inch display, lithium-ion 2,000 mAH battery, and a microSD slot that can support up to 32GB. The GALAXY Win has dual-SIM support.

In terms of video, the GALAXY Win can shoot video at 720p (15 frames per second) and the front of the phone has a VGA camera.  The operating system is Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface is integrated into the smartphone.  You can buy the GALAXY Win in Ceramic White and Titan Grey.

The “Easy Mode” in the user interface has a simple and intuitive homescreen mode for top functions.  The GALAXY Win has a “Smart Alert” feature that has notifications for events you may have missed like calls, messages, and deadlines.  The “Motion UX” feature supports functions like Mute, Refresh & Update, and Scan for other devices with simple motion controls.

Samsung did not announce the pricing and availability of the phone yet.
