WATCH: Teehan+Lax Releases Google Street View Hyperlapse
Teehan+Lax is a creative design company that has an independent unit known as Labs. Some of the companies that Teehan+Lax has worked with include Medium, Globe and Mail, Readability, and Shipwire. One of the motion designers at the company came up with an idea to put together a Google Street View Hyperlapse.
The video has a maximum of 60 frames per second for great accessibility and the source code is available in Github. Using the source code on Github, developers can work with higher frame rates, image quality, and camera movements.
Google Street View is a technology that is used in Google Maps and Google Earth to showcase panoramic views from positions along many streets in the world. The service launched in May 2007 across several cities in the U.S. and has expanded worldwide since. Check out the Google Street View Hyperlapse video below:
