RackWare Raises $1.8 Million In First Round Of Funding

RackWare is a cloud company that has raised $1.8 million in their first round of funding. Founded in 2009, RackWare offers extensive experience in delivering enterprise-class products in the server, storage, network, and virtualization markets.  The RackWare Management Module (RMM) offers intelligence and automation to the cloud and provides greater availability for enterprise business units.

RackWare launched in September 2012 and the company helps IT departments get the “highest performing” cloud throughout an application’s lifecycle.  RackWare makes it easier to scale up or down depending on the demand.  RackWare also offers disaster recovery.

“Today’s enterprise IT organizations need solutions that allow them to immediately benefit from deploying applications in the cloud within their current environment,” stated RackWare founder and CEO Sash Sunkara. “With RackWare Management Module, users can take full advantage of the cloud without comprising their current investment in infrastructure and applications. And once RMM is in place, it is easy to expand use of the cloud to increase cost savings to the business through greater availability and flexibility for application developers and users.”

Before working at RackWare, Sunkara was one of the co-founders of 3Leaf Systems.  She was also the VP of marketing of the Network Solutions Group within QLogic.  Sunkara founded RackWare with Todd Matters.  Matters founded SilverStream and previously worked at Unisys and IBM.
