LinkedIn Updates iPhone and Android Apps With A New Activity Stream and Enhanced Navigation

LinkedIn has updated their iPhone and Android apps. The goal of the new apps are to make it easier for members to discover and engage with professional insights shared on LinkedIn. There is a richer news stream with tailored updates, news, and original posts in the app.

Now you can slide the main homepage screen to the right to reveal a customizable navigation page preloaded with handy features.

Since 64% of LinkedIn members are located outside of the U.S., they have expanded their language offerings by adding Dutch and Norwegian for the iPhone and Turkish, Dutch, and Norwegian for Android. Now there are a total of 15 available languages for both apps including Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, English, German, Spanish, French, Korean, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Swedish, Chinese (Traditional, Simplified), Turkish, Dutch and Norwegian.

Earlier this month, LinkedIn acquired Pulse for around $90 million. It is likely that we will see some tight integration between the two companies in their next app updates.
