The Weather app for the iPhone has beautiful photos added from Flickr and shows current local conditions.  The app lets you not only read the weather, but it also lets you see what it looks like with relevant Flickr photos.  In the screenshot above, you will notice a cloudy photo of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco because the forecast is Partly Cloudy for the city is partly cloudy.

By tilting your phone, you will be able to scroll through photos that reflect the current weather in the places that matter to you.  When you tap on the temperature, the app will give you a quick view of the forecast.  As you scroll down, you will be able to see the precipitation, wind and pressure, a radar map, and other details.

The new Yahoo! Weather app is available on the iPhone and iPod Touch for free on the App Store.  The app currently works in 30 languages.

The new Yahoo! Mail app for tablets gives a full screen experience of the mail service.  There are no folders, no buttons, and no tabs.  It is simply your mail and it can be flipped through easily like a magazine.  The new Yahoo! Mail app allows you to quickly select messages and group by sender.  The swipe function on the tablet can activate an option to delete a mail, star a mail, or move them all.

You can download Yahoo!’s new Mail app for iPad or Android tablets now.
