Facebook Reports $1.46B In Q1 2013 With 30% Of Ad Revenue Coming From Mobile
Yesterday Facebook reported their first quarter earnings. The company reported revenues of $1.46 billion with an EPS of $0.12. Analysts were expecting revenues of $1.44 billion with an EPS of $0.13. Net income for the period was $219 million on GAAP and $312 million on non-GAAP.
Facebook reported that $375 million of their ad revenue came from mobile. Analysts were expecting this figure to be $360 million. This means that 30% of their ad revenue was from mobile devices. In Q4 2012, Facebook saw $306 million from their mobile advertising revenues (23% of total ad sales).
The advertising revenue for the company was up 43% compared to the year earlier. Non-advertising income totaled around $213 million.
Facebook said that their daily active user count for the quarter totaled 665 million and their monthly active user base was 1.11 billion. The company now has 751 million monthly mobile active users, which is up 54% year-over-year.
