Sheryl Sandberg Says That 40% Of Top iOS and Android Apps Use Facebook Ads
Earlier this week, Facebook reported their Q1 2013 financial results. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg reported in the results that 40% of the top grossing iOS and Android apps use Facebook ads on their platform to increase their downloads. These app companies are using Facebook’s Mobile App Install Ads for promotion.
Sandberg said that “3,800 developers used these ads to drive nearly 25 million downloads” this past quarter, according to TheNextWeb. Mobile devices accounted for 30% of Facebook’s advertising revenues.
Facebook reported 751 million monthly mobile users for their most recent quarter. The company has about 1.11 billion monthly active users total and 665 million daily users.
